UAP offers all its employees training and development programs so they can acquire the knowledge, tools and work skills needed to do their job.
We have programs that welcome new employees, improve work methods, train managers, implement numerous computerized management systems, develop professional standards in terms of customer service, and develop sales.
The Company also offers a development program for up-and-coming store, distribution centre and sales managers. This program, which spans several months, is available to any internal or external candidate that meets the hiring criteria.Lastly, UAP also has a registration fee reimbursement policy for staff taking programs to develop job-related skills, such as language, management, computer software, or to obtain qualifications. |

Among the thousands of UAP employees, many work in one of the 220 stores in our network. Whether it be in our Auto Parts Division, better known as NAPA Auto Parts, or in our Heavy Vehicle Parts Division (TRACTION/TW), most of our employees work in customer service, sales, or in management and administration.

We also have distribution centres and regional offices across Canada in order to serve the entire UAP store and distribution network. Employees in these locations work in warehouse positions, sales, marketing, customer service, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, office administration and management.
The UAP Manufacturing Division comprises five factories, where automobile and heavy vehicle parts are manufactured and rebuilt.
Located in Eastern Montréal, the UAP head office has some 300 employees where management activities and different corporate services are concentrated. The Heavy Vehicle Parts Division also has its head office in Montréal's South Shore, or to be more precise, in Longueuil. |

| Counter Person |
|
| The Counter Person is responsible for handling orders and requests for parts, for greeting and serving clients, for preparing merchandise for display and for supporting overall store operations in order to meet UAP's exacting customer service and operational standards. |
|
| Driver |
|
| The Driver is responsible for establishing and maintaining good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional delivery service in a safe and timely manner. |
|
| Parts Handler |
|
| The Parts Handler's main responsibility is to stock merchandise in inventory (shipments received and returns) and to pick efficiently and in timely manner merchandise for orders to be delivered. |
|
| Sales Representative |
|
| The Sales Representative is accountable for building and maintaining quality business relationships with existing and new customers by implementing National, Regional and District-level sales development initiatives and promoting NAPA parts and programs. |
|
| Store Manager |
|
| The Store Manager manages all aspects of store operations, not the least of which is managing his store staff to deliver operational and financial performance. He is accountable for the store's sales, bottom line and inventory turnover performance against targeted objectives and budgets. He is also responsible for his store's compliance with NAPA operational and customer service standards, and for implementing national and regional sales development and operational improvement initiatives in his store. |
